We list for sale, as a favor to our sales personnel and authors, the occasional used item. Most of these are of a literary or musical nature, although a few have nothing to do with literature or music. We sell these used items (often rare, or hard to find) strictly for the purpose of getting them into the hands of people who will value them.
     Our policy on merchandise from this section is as follows: Any used merchandise, if it does not meet with your satisfaction, or if in your opinion its condition is not as we described it, may be returned within thirty days for a full refund of your purchase price. You must bear the shipping cost for its return. Two exceptions are here applicable: "Factory-sealed" LPs may not be returned even if, when played, they prove to be defective. This is because these items often have, and retain, more value if never opened; in fact, many collectors procure these items with the express intent of never opening them. Also, all CDs are in fine shape (usually mint) when sold and may not be returned.
     Note also that there are a very few other situations in which used merchandise can not be returned. If this is the case, we clearly say so in the description of the merchandise.
     Please realize that the cost on some of our merchandise, both used and new, is quite nominal because we are merely wanting to cover the cost of shipping and handling. We essentially are giving these items away, thus hoping to "recycle" them into the hands of people who will appreciate them.
